Matt is a Principal at Lexington Partners, one of world’s largest managers of secondary private equity and co-investment funds. At Lexington, Matt focuses on technology investing, with an emphasis on acquiring limited partnership interests in venture capital and growth equity funds and direct stakes in high-growth venture-backed technology companies.
Prior to Lexington Partners, Matt co-founded Data Marketplace, an online marketplace for data. Data Marketplace was angel backed and participated in the winter 2010 Y-Combinator incubator program. In 2010, Data Marketplace was acquired by InfoChimps.
Prior to Data Marketplace, Matt was an investor at Genstar Capital in San Francisco where he focused on investing in middle market financial services, healthcare, industrial technology and software companies. Prior to Genstar, Matt was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan in New York where he focused on M&A advisory.
Matt studied Finance at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business where he received a B.S. in 2005. Matt was a member of the Indiana University Hutton Honors College and co-founded the Cheshire Cafe located at Indiana University.
In addition to investing, Matt enjoys organization development, solving problems with software, playing tennis and squash, snow skiing and sailing. Matt and his wife Rachel married in September 2015 and had their daughter Eliza in March 2018.
